Elders Meeting

Attending:  Pastor Bob,  Dino Calarco,  John Regner,  John Schweitzer

Absent:  Steve Lein

7:30AM Prayer / Devotional Reading by Pastor Bob (Mk. 6:45 – priorities among the elders)

7:40-8:00 am Accountability Sheet & Prayer (discussion on personal devotions, prayer requests; pick at least 2 questions from sheet to ask accountability partner;  John R. will call John S.,  John S. will call Steve while Bob is on sabbatical)

8:00 am Action Items:

ØElder member distribution -  list of names given to Dino, to be given out at next meeting

ØElder Apprentice -  discussion on possible candidates

ØDiscussed assisting the Smalley’s re: Roy’s upcoming surgery.  We feel we need to help them defray the costs of their deductible in light of our efforts to help with their adoption. Suggestion was made to do the “Change for Change” system and match with funds from the Compassion fund at $1000.

ØElder and Deacon meetings while Bob is gone – keep deacon meetings unchanged; elders will meet July 13 & August 10, 2007

ØSet-up and breakdown while Bob is gone – there is a need for more volunteers for these jobs, also, Bob needs to be off of these teams

ØCommunion – can be handled by elders and with input from presiding speaker of that Sunday

ØDeacon reviews – contact your deacons

ØMusic leadership, percussion replacement – Larry Meredith and Rachel Heron will lead praise teams with help from John Regner and other members of the team;  will ask Justin Regner, John Marsh, Andrew Marsh, Rod Alferi about playing percussion

ØPrayer Team Partnering – John R. will call John S., John S. will call Steve L. while Bob is on Sabbatical

ØPersonnel Manual Team – To be discussed at next meeting.
