6:30 PM Opening Prayer and Devotional  - Pastor Bob shared from Mark 1:45.

 

Review & Approval of March Minutes – Larry motion / Dino second - approved

 

Financial Report: Accepted Jean motion / Larry second

 

Old Business:

Ø Strategic Plan Review – copies of updated chart distributed.

Ø Children’s Ministry Leader Search – two interested, Kari Smalley is working on a timeline and description of duties.

Ø Change for Change – Another $116 this weekend – discussed future opportunities for this type of effort.

Ø Appreciation Dinner – 58 have reserved.

Ø National Day of Prayer – May 3 @ 7:00

Ø Deacon Clerk – No one has volunteered yet – P Bob and Trish will cover.

 

New Business:

Ø Vic’s Auto – car washes – available for Youth, Adoption, etc. – once/month – food optional

Ø Women’s Ministry - $200 for May 11 seminar – Approved

Ø Contacting Missionaries – Women’s ministry wants to contact and encourage missionary wives & moms – deacons encouraged this effort!

Ø Outreach Update – Outreach committee met – working on mission statement, possible outreach events for this year (2-3) “Lapgans” is an effort to provide lap blankets for seniors at nursing homes. 

Ø GLBC Training – “Women’s” or “Leadership”? Charge to Women’s min.

Ø Spending cap - $100 per event or per month? $100 per event

Ø Naeir Corporation Membership – Approved – if guarantee still is in place.

Ø Graphic artwork for trailer/yard signs - $457 - Approved

Ø Mother’s Day Flowers – Purchase through Rachel Heron – to be sold at church – proceeds to Dodge County Right To Life. - Approved

Ø Servant Keeper Software Upgrade - Approved

Ø Formal Ministry Review of ’06-’07 Passed out review forms – to be completed by end of May – reviewed with Elder Rep.

Ø Ministry Plans for ’07-’08 – Passed out forms – to be completed by end of September 1, reviewed with Elder Rep.

 

Ministry Updates:

Ø Internet dangers speaker will be on next agenda.

Ø Pastor Bob will continue to explore combined ministries with CLF
